Eisenhower once quipped that “plans are useless, but planning is indispensable”. This quote is particularly relevant now, for we live in a world where war on Europe’s edge can drive commodities to dizzying heights, where supply chain disruptions make planning a labyrinthian challenge, and where staff shortages can affect everything from critical medical care to your barista coffee.
In such times, leaders need to be able to think differently about how their organisations plan, because the process of planning may now be much more valuable than the plans that emerge.
To help us gain insights into how leaders can respond to such deep and disorderly disruption, we will be running a discussion with a panel of experienced and insightful leaders:
· Merran Kelsall – President and Chairman of the Board, CPA Australia
· Frances Diver – Chief Executive Officer, Barwon Health
· Christine Burke – Senior Director, Bevington Group
