As the pandemic has played out around the world, organisations, and indeed governments, have taken decisions in very different ways.
Strangely, many of those we would expect to have been aligned with contemporary decision-making theories and practices have not in fact been “up to speed”. The consequences have been very serious.
It happens there is an enormous amount of research and commentary on decision-making under “risk” and “uncertainty”. We, at Bevington Group, use the consequent principles to balance out our operating model recommendations, but the ideas have very broad application. We thought now would be an extremely good time to offer insights from the research on decision making and risk.
