After two years of “waiting for the end” we now face a very different set of challenges. Maybe Omicron will be the final major disruption of the COVID-19 saga, but we cannot be sure.

In the meantime we have a great deal of other disruptions emerging, such as rising inflation in various parts of the global economy, staff shortages, supply chain reconfigurations, cohorts of workers changing career directions and a whole generation of personnel with a very different outlook on risk. So, it seems timely to revisit resilience, and introduce new perspectives and research on how organisations can become hyper-adaptive without losing their efficiency edge. As the world continues to learn it is a timely opportunity to share the latest lessons.
